Brisbane, April 30 2018 – Stage one of the highly anticipated Skygate Home & Life Centre is now under construction, with 70% of showroom space now pre-committed to brands including Nick Scali, Pillowtalk, James Lane, Lighting Illusions and DecoRug.
Located at the entrance to Brisbane Airport, the Skygate Home & Life Centre has exposure to over 100,000 vehicles passing daily on Airport Drive, Southern Cross Way and The Circuit.
The centre is being developed on the western side of the existing Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) centre, with Stage One comprising up to 9,260sqm of retail and 300 ongrade car parking spaces. An adjacent multi-level car park for 1,000 vehicles was recently completed to accommodate the precinct’s future growth.
The new Home & Life Centre will also directly service the onsite commercial precinct of 460 businesses and 23,000 workers, in addition to a catchment population of more than one million within a 30-minute drive.

One of the anchor retailers secured is Nick Scali, who will occupy a prime 2500sqm showroom space. The site will have direct signage and pedestrian access to one of Australia’s top performing DFO’s in addition to backing onto Southern Cross Way. Nick Scali will also be joined by James Lane, occupying a 920sqm showroom, Lighting Illusions with a 700sqm showroom and Pillowtalk with a 1,000sqm showroom – adding to its 59 stores nationally.
